Please do NOT assume that it`s the same as it was when you were connecting the last time. make sure that you`re entering the correct IP-address from GoodReader`s WiFi-transfer page, with http:/ and :8080 parts.Your computer must be connected to your WiFi-router wirelessly, not via cable.

make sure that your iPhone/iPad and your computer are connected to the same WiFi-network.temporarily disable all anti-virus and firewall software of your computer.if your computer is a Windows-based one, delete all previously created network shortcuts that you used for previous connection attempts.don`t use Bonjour-address from WiFi-transfer page, for Troubleshooting purposes use IP-address only.make sure that WiFi-signal strength is at maximum on both on your iPhone/iPad and on your computer.Restart your iPhone/iPad (power off, wait 10 seconds, power on again), restart your computer, and restart your WiFi-router (power off, wait 10 seconds, power on again).
